Current Problem
Company A has been using a PVC hose for transporting water-based paints. However, they need to replace the PVC hoses frequently as PVC does not withstand the paints, and becoming swollen, which reduces the efficiency of production.
Many customers are using chemicals in their applications, but they are not quite sure if their hose or tube is suitable for the chemicals.
The hose material is a key factor to verify the ability of chemical resistance.
If the hose deteriorates in a short period of time, such as hardening, swelling, or discoloration, it is time to consider reviewing the hose/tube.
The frequency of hose change will be decreased significantly if the hose/tube you choose is suitable for the fluids you transfer.
The below picture shows before and after MEK (Methyl Ethyl Ketone) is transferred by PVC and HAKKO Flexible Fluorine ETFE Resin Hose.
When you check the chemical resistance of our products, please refer to the Chemical Resistance Data.
If you cannot find the information from our chemical resistance data, we can also provide a tube/hose sample for further test.
